Our History & Business Philosophy

In 1975, our matriarch, Lucy Cooper, went to work for a cigarette, tobacco and cigar distributor in Shreveport, Louisiana as a shipping clerk. Lucy was driven by the need to afford bedroom carpet for her newborn son, Tony. Through the years, Mom worked her way up from an entry level position to become Executive Vice President and co-owner of the company in 1995.  After 20 years of dedicated service, Lucy retired from her position in 1996. She came out of retirement in 2002 to purchase Tobacco Junction with Tony, hoping to offer Longview and East Texas her tobacco industry expertise.

Tobacco Junction has opened new stores, vastly expanded the number of products it offers, and built the two largest walk-in humidors and the first cigar lounges in East Texas.  Dedicated to the business, Tobacco Junction sells more tobacco products than anyone in East Texas.    

We focus on all things tobacco including: cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, packaged cigars, premium handmade cigars, pipe tobacco, roll-your-own tobacco, oral use tobacco, fragrance products and all tobacco related accessories.  Because of our extensive knowledge about tobacco, we specialize in helping customers find their way through the category.  We've taught countless people how to save over 50% by making their own cigarettes, led thousands of cigar enthusiasts to choose the perfect cigar, and worked with scores of customers making the transition to electronic cigarettes.

The Cooper family firmly believes in responsible tobacco retailing.  We have a zero tolerance policy for selling tobacco products to minors.  Our stores are only open to adults 21 years of age and older.
